Angel Food Ministries

The Angel Food program brings people together in sharing the Good News as well as demonstrating the goodness of God.  It provides grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States.

Blessings by the box

Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.

Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can receive, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere.

Orders and Distribution

Orders and distribution of Angel Food are handled locally by First Pentecostal Church, in partnership with Jersey Shore Rescue Mission.  During the first part of each month, we take orders for boxes of Angel Food from the community. Orders are then turned in to Angel Food Ministries headquarters. Angel Food then purchases quality food from first-rate suppliers to fulfill the orders. The fresh food is delivered in bulk to the Angel Food Warehouse where it is divided and shipped to host sites for distribution on a predetermined date of the month.  Our volunteers at the host site divide the food into individual orders. These boxes of Angel Food then are picked up by those who have placed orders.
