Beginner & Infant Groups

BIG is an acronym for The Beginner & Infant Groups. Pre-school children ages 1 month to 4 years are eligible to join the Infant Groups. Children ages 5 to 8 years old are welcome to join the Beginner Groups. Each of these groups is designed to present practical Biblical truths in a manner that is easily understood and applied in their daily experiences.

Each group focuses on using age appropriate media and activities to teach essential life and social skills from a Biblical perspective. The groups are structured in an informal interactive small group format. Each of these groups are assigned mentors that function as moderators and educators. Group members also engage in regular fellowship (or recreational) activities. These activities are designed to promote healthy social skills while providing a safe and friendly environment to enhance other life skills.

These "Beginner Activities" are designed for both solo and parent guided use. They are designed to foster basic reading, keyboard recognition, intermediate mouse use and hand - eye coordination.

These "Infant Activities" are designed to be used initially with direct parental supervision. These fun activities will help build better hand - eye coordination, number recognition, counting, and letter recognition.

Parents may also want to consider sharing these downloadable and/or printable Bible stories, coloring pages and other activities with their B.I.G. Kid. (*note: some resources may require adobe reader)

Parental Note:
The Youth and Young Adults ministry accomplishes its purpose by employing Abundance Groups that are age appropriate, providing compassionate mentors, and creating safe environments that allows members to connect and express themselves freely. Using these tools, members explore Biblical approaches to problem solving while learning the Biblical principles that undergird consequential thinking. Members also engage in regular fellowship (or recreational) activities designed to promote healthy social skills while providing a safe and friendly environment to enhance there ability to relate to others with empathy and compassion.
