BIG is the Children's Ministry for
the First Pentecostal Church. BIG
is an acronym for The Beginner & Infant Groups. Pre-school
children ages 1 month to 4 years are eligible to join the Infant
Groups. Children ages 5 to 8 years old are welcome to join the
Beginner Groups. Each of these groups is designed to present
practical Biblical truths in a manner that is easily understood
and applied in their daily experiences.
Each group focuses on using age appropriate media and activities
to teach essential life and social skills from a Biblical
perspective. The groups are structured in an informal
interactive small group format. Each of these groups are
assigned mentors that function as moderators and educators.
Group members also engage in regular fellowship (or
recreational) activities. These activities are designed to
promote healthy social skills while providing a safe and
friendly environment to enhance other life skills.

Both the Beginner and Infant groups
meet once a week on Friday evenings at 7:00 PM.
Groups are finished by 8:15 and the children are usually
served a light snack between 8:15 and 8:30.
