About Us

First Pentecostal Church is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, Bible believing, not-for-profit ministry.  We are dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ while providing resources for families and individuals who are in need.  We are located on the corners of Oxonia Avenue, Anelve Avenue and Asbury Avenue just off of the Asbury Park Circle in Neptune, New Jersey.  You can find directions to our church here.

Our History:

The First Pentecostal Church was founded as the result of a miraculous meeting between Mother Geneva Crudup, Deacon Sylvester Crudup their three children and a small prayer band of six women in February of 1943. While following the leading of the Lord, Pastor and Deacon Crudup stopped at a small store to purchase milk for their baby. It was at this time they encountered six women praying for the Lord to send them a leader. Upon sharing with them the leading of the Lord, Pastor Crudup was made the leader of the prayer band. From these humble begins the First Pentecostal Church family was born.

First Pentecostal Church ushered home her Founder - Pastor Crudup in 1994. The small prayer band of six women she found praying for a leader grew to a fully established church, which was once again left praying for a leader. That prayer was answered June of 1996, in Baltimore Maryland, when Elder Paul L. Brown was appointed the pastor of First Pentecostal Church.

What we offer:

The First Pentecostal Church offers several community and family outreach services. Our Marriage Awareness counseling is designed to help prepare couples for the transition from single to married life. For those who are already married, we offer marriage mentoring for "newly wed" and veteran couples. We also offer Abundance group (small group) ministries for men, women, teens, pre-teens, children and single mothers. In addition, we have also been able to assist countless families in the central New Jersey area with meals, holiday gifts, and clothing.

We also provide help to individuals in our global community all across the world. With your support, we have been able to send aid to flood victims in the New Orleans area, as well as disadvantaged families in the Caribbean. We have also been able to assist in the building of new churches both in the united states, and around the world.
