Pastor's Notes 1-17-2010
What does it means "to wait on the Lord"? Does it mean that since the Lord knows all things, then I can wait until He works things out for me?
So many believe that God will work without us making a request through prayer. This is not the case. We MUST ask the Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ. Once a request is made, then the requestor is encouraged to wait on the Lord. I believe the process by which you or I receive an answer is through the vehicle of "ministry".
Ministry is activated by the Holy Spirit upon a willing individual who is moved to heed to the Spirit's prompting. Therefore, your ministry is essential to the answering of someone’s prayer request.
Could it be that one of the reasons why it takes a while for answered prayer is because we as individuals are dragging our feet in doing "ministry"?
Think of the individuals who have not even begun their ministries and the great number of answers to prayer requests that are waiting on those ministries.
Help us Lord!
Please invite or bring someone to First Pentecostal with you.
